Help Desk

The NCS Campus Help Desk offers IT support assistance to Faculty, Staff, and Students in a wide range of computer-related issues. Support is available via phone, web, email, or in person.

Our mission is to provide a single point of contact for support, training, and guidance in the use of Information Technology to the Rutgers Newark community. Our goal is to provide service excellence while maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Note:  Passwords may be changed at the Help Desk, Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

The Help Desk is open 8:00am - 6:30pm, Monday - Thursday and 8:00am - 5:00pm Friday.

How to Setup Outlook 2010 for Andromeda Email

  1. Open Outlook 2010
  2. Click the File tab
  3. Under the Account Information heading, click Add Account
  4. Select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types button on the Auto Account Setup screen.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select Internet E-Mail on the Choose Service screen.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter your User Information (Your Name and Email Address).

To clear you web browser information such as History, Cookies, and Temporary Internet files, locate you browser below and follow the steps provided.

Check Your Print Usage

Students who have printed frequently in the computer labs should check their print usage amounts to be sure they have sufficient funds for the rest of the term.  Go to https://services.rutgers.edu/portal to check on printing totals.

Student Employment at NCS

Newark Computing Services conducts their major hiring for student workers during the Spring of each year.  The hours are flexible and students will have the opportunity to gain valuable real-world working experience in a thriving environment.  Students of every major are encouraged to apply. NCS hires only full-time students.
