What is a Net ID?

All faculty, staff, and students are assigned a Rutgers unique identifier known as a NetID, comprised of initials and a unique number (e.g. jqs23). In order to access many of the electronic services available to you at Rutgers, you need to activate your Rutgers NetID. You can activate your NetID by visiting

https://netid.rutgers.edu/

You will need your NetID to use the many of the tools below. Select the tool you need for the system on which you receive email.

Mailing Lists

When mail needs to be sent out to large groups, there are two forms of mailing lists that can be used - 1) RAMS (Rutgers Automated Mass-mailing System) or 2) Mailman. RAMS can be used when the list is based on a certain demographic. Please see the below links for more information

What is a "Disk Quota"?

A disk quota is the amount of space allocated to house your files, email, webpages etc. in your account on andromeda or pegasus.
